On one of my azure static web apps, the custom domain won't validate. It is stuck in trying to validate the txt record. I have multiple sites, all with their domain hosted at the same provider, and dont' have a problem with any of the others when setting up.

When I check that the DNS record has propagated (after at least 24 hours) it has, so it is not that. I have already tried to remove the custom domain and re add it, without success

Johanna Hultén, Firstly, apologies for the delayed response on this.

Based on the information you have shared on webapp:
    https://studywise.se/ - Digwebinterface info
    https://witty-hill-00666c903.5.azurestaticapps.net/ - Digwebinterface info

I understand you are using an external provider. One of the user resolved the issue (discussion) by adding CAA record for digicert - "it was the CAA record stopping the validation, had to add digicert.com for it to go through".

As mentioned in the documentation, if you are trying to add the subdomain then you need to add the CNAME record instead of TXT record in your DNS zone and for apex domain you need to add TXT and ALIAS record in your DNS zone.

Please review the DNS records added, as per the steps outlined in this doc.

Set up a custom domain in Azure Static Web Apps
Set up an apex domain in Azure Static Web Apps

    Just to highlight:

If you are trying to create an apex domain by configuring an ALIAS or ANAME record or flattening CNAME.

Some domain registrars, like GoDaddy and Google, don't support these DNS records.

Kindly let us know, how it goes I'll follow-up with you further.
