After VNET integration web api is not able to send mail via SMTP

We have an Web API developed in dot net using C#, in that API we are sending mail using SMTP. for achieving static outbound IP implemented VNET integration.
We got static outbound IP but Email functionality stopped working getting error "Exception Message Failure sending mail".

Is the SMTP server local to you (on your network) or remote (third party)?SMTP is allowed from App Service via network integration https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/overview-vnet-integration#application-routing BUT if you're sending externally you wont get a static IP unless you also use NatGateway or a Firewall/Forward Proxy. As per the note on "outbound" traffic in the link above.
for internal traffic , that is towards an internal SMPTP server, the source ip will be from the subnet prefix assigned to the subnet you vnet integrate with from App service.
