Discard button is missing on Outlook

Hello 

 

Please i need your help on this issue.

 

One of my user is having an issue with missing discard button on email in Outlook for Microsoft 365. 

 

Whenever they want to reply to an email on Outlook they cant see discard button on Outlook.

    Hi @IniobongNkanga-8038 ,

    According to my research, in Outlook’s Compact View or Single View, when you click “Reply” or “Reply All” in the message preview, your draft opens in the reading pane. The Discard button appears in this context, allowing you to discard the draft if you change your mind.

    To enable the discard button, please check the following settings:

    1. Make sure the reading pane is enabled: On the View tab, in the Layout group, select Reading Pane, and then select Right or Bottom.
    2. Make sure this option is not selected: Go to File > Options > Mail > Open replies and forwards in a new window.
