That sounds a bit strange. There are a few possibilities for this which include: You may have been invited by them into the tenant, Your account is compromised or shared login credentials.
To resolved I will recommend the following:
- Try and login via an incognito account into portal.azure.com with the same account. Navigate to directory/subscription and confirm which tenant you are being signed in to. It may be your free trial is in another directory. You can switch directory See:
- if you suspect compromised credentials I will recommend you immediately remediate by changing the password.
