Cannot authenticate for training sandbox Azure environments

I am going through the training modules for the AZ-104 exam, I am using my work O365 account, until 2 days ago everything was working as intended, I could open the Azure sandboxes as part of the training material

2 days ago, after completing the puzzle to launch the Azure sandbox, I was prompted for MFA through the Microsoft authenticator app, I confirmed the 2 digit code but I started receiving an error on the Authenticator app also, it failed to sign me in.

Tried some troubleshooting steps and ended up reinstalling the authenticator app, now when I try to sign into the sandbox, I no longer get the MS Authenticator app prompt and cannot sign in, tried using alternate methods, but the app and app codes are the only available ones.

I know that this is an issue with the Office 365 tenant that is used for the exercises, it is advantus1 (dot) onmicrosoft (dot) com, but I have no way of resetting my authentication methods there

To be clear: I can use the app to sign into my work account without issues

Guessing I need a temporary pass or authentication methods reset in the learning environment
