How to hide or remove the new 'Share' button underneath an in-meeting Teams app

An update announcement in June mentioned that apps for Teams Meetings will start including a generic "Share" button. This button triggers a screenshare of the app content to the main stage of the meeting. I think its role is slightly different from a "Share to Stage" button that can optionally be added to Teams apps.

For the app that I have been working on, this new 'Share' button adds end-user confusion and my preference for now is for the button to simply not appear for my app.

However, I have not been able to find any specific guidance in Teams developer documentation on how to disable this 'Share' button.

Has anyone developing in-meeting apps for Teams found a solution to remove the 'Share' button? (My apologies if I am overlooking something obvious.)

For reference, the manifest and permissions for my app do not include anything related to the meeting stage.
