Ask: I have been using this account since 10/2023. I have recently added SQL Servers to the Data Map and have successfully scanned them. I have been having issues with the portal for the past couple of months and now the account won't provision. It was working fine one day then not the next day.
Maybe it is related to the new portal but I am not sure. Even when I have had problems with the portals the account still provisioned.
I made a change recently to add myself to the root collection permissions but I can't even get back into that because the account won't provision.
Solution: I received the following response from Microsoft:
I received an update from the Product Group regarding the issue we discussed. It appears that the problem is linked to a failure in the CreateOrUpdate scan process. We have contacted the Scan DRI to investigate further using the Correlation Id: d1ab1f97-ac55-45a5-bbc2-452e1be07ea3. The Scan team has now confirmed that this issue was due to an ADF outage, which has since been resolved.
I have communicated with the Product Group, and they have initiated a Geneva action to switch to the provisioning state in order to update the Purview Accounts. Everything should be functioning properly now.
