Hi. How do I troubleshoot WSUS?

C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log:

Windows Update logs are now generated using ETW (Event Tracing for Windows).

Please run the Get-WindowsUpdateLog PowerShell command to convert ETW traces into a readable WindowsUpdate.log.

After Get-WindowsUpdateLog i got files C:\Users\aa.mikha_admin\AppData\Local\Temp\WindowsUpdateLog

wuetl.CSV.tmp.00000.etl

But I don't understand the next steps.

I downloaded the utility, ran as administrator, had the cmd window show up for a second and close.

So I tried it as in the example:

C:\Windows\system32>C:\Users\admin\Desktop\SetupDiag.exe /Output:C:\1\Results.log

SetupDiag v1.7.0.0

Searching for setup logs...

SetupDiag was unable to find a relevant log file. Exiting!

Can you tell me step by step how to get the logs ?

Hello,

You can find the following WSUS log files running on the software update point site system role in %ProgramFiles%\Update Services\LogFiles. Meanwhile, windows update log could be useful.

Depending on your situation, it's best to check the problem you encounter and the error prompt. Then firstly check system event log try to find some related information.
