Why did it even let me uninstall, and what was the point of the option if it didn't even work? I miss Windows 10

Microsoft has implemented OneDrive as a native cloud service in Windows 11, but you can uninstall it.

Have you enabled it? If so, you may unlink account your account in OneDrive. Then try to uninstall it.

Is there any error message when you sign into the OneDrive App? If yes, please share us with a screenshot.

If you sign your account in OneDrive online, will the login be successful?

What is the type of your OneDrive account, personal account, work or school account?

If you have the work or school account, I suggest you close all Office apps and OneDrive Apps, got to Windows Settings > Accounts > Access work or school, then removed any account that was in there by hitting Disconnect.

Please open Credential Manager > go to Windows Credentials > Generic Credentials > remove credentials which is related Microsoft 365 and OneDrive.

Then try again.

Signing into that link successfully lets me into my OneDrive account on browser.
It's my personal account that i'm using now

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

It is recommended to locate to C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Onedrive\24.XXX.XXX.XXXX and run OneDriveSetup.exe.

(Please note, the "UserName" is your Windows account name. If you cannot find "Appdata" folder, please go to File Explorer > View in Show/hide group > check the box of "Hidden Items". Besides, "24.XXX.XXX.XXXX" is the version number of OneDrive.)

If this application is not found, you may go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\24.XXX.XXX.XXXX folder to run OneDriveSetup.exe.

If the action does not work, I suggest you uninstall OneDrive and install it have a check. You may download OneDrive from: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/onedrive-release-notes-845dcf18-f921-435e-bf28-4e24b95e5fc0

I was able to setup onedrive again but now i'm back to my original problem of "C:\Users\Silve\OneDrive" being the filepath for everything on my computer and unlinking, uninstalling, and restarting didn't fix it. Is there no way to remove onedrive from my filepath?

If unlinking OneDrive account does not work, your Windows Known folders, such as Desktop, Documents folders are still redirected to OneDrive folder, then I suggest you refer to this thread: I uninstalled OneDrive but my files are still redirected to it?.

After unlink all OneDrive accounts, you may need to modify the registry keys: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders.

For example, the "Documents" folder, you need to find the "Personal" value. Make sure its data value is %USERPROFILE%\Documents. (Please note, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, please remember to back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.)

@Jiajing Hua-MFST Hey, Jiajing. I gave up on trrying to fix it and factory reset my comp after saving all my important files before I saw your message. Resetting my device resolved the issue.

Scratch that. It didn't solve my issue. I ended up reinstalling Windows 10 to get the proper file paths back. Please fix this for Win 12
