Steps to make my app FedRamp compliant in Microsoft Teams

Hello,

I have a Microsoft Teams app called "Assist" that is currently available to commercial customers. I would like to make it available for FedRamp customers as well. My plan is to create a new app similar to "Assist," but for FedRamp compliance, I would choose "Microsoft for government" instead of "Microsoft Teams commercial" under settings -> channels -> Teams. I assume everything else will remain the same as the previous app, but please let me know if there are additional steps I need to take.

Ensure that your organization meets the eligibility requirements for Microsoft 365 Government - GCC and then deploy your app to the Microsoft 365 Government - GCC environment.

Assuming our services are FedRAMP compliant and meet the eligibility criteria for Microsoft 365 Government - GCC, I would like to know where to create and deploy the app in the GCC environment. Is it the same as where I created the "Assist" commercial app? I noticed that the main difference in the process is that under "Settings -> Channels -> Teams," I can select "Microsoft for Government" instead of "Microsoft Teams Commercial."

Regarding the link you shared, it appears to focus primarily on deploying Teams in GCC. However, I'm not interested in deploying Teams in GCC, as we don't use Teams. Instead, we own the Assist app and want to make it available for FedRAMP customers.

Please note that Custom app upload is possible only in Government Community Cloud (GCC) and isn't possible in GCC-High and Department of Defense (DOD).
