Invoke a Fabric user defined function

I could invoke a Fabric user defined function in a data pipeline last week or so, but now that is no longer possible even though the documentations I found state that is should, photo below:

But for now, when I add a Functions activity to the pipeline, all I have on the settings part is this:
pipeline

After the posts on the September updates, I saw it was also possible to call the UDF from Notebooks, so I tried that as well and with no luck.

I know this is a preview feature, but I was trying to do a demo project with it, and now I find myself stuck because the Fabric user defined function has no other was to invoke. Does anyone know if this will be fixed or it's something I am doing wrong here?

Any help is highly appreciated.
