The first step in troubleshooting would be to check the SQL Server errorlog. With a default installation, it is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQLnn.MSSQLSERVER\LOG\ERRORLOG. (nn here depends on your version of SQL Server.) When you attempt to start SQL Server, pay attention to if a new file is created.
Feel free to attach the log file here. You need to rename it to ERRORLOG.txt for the forum software to accept it.

It would have been better if you had stayed in that thread, or at least given a link to it. When I tried to answer your question, I had no context.
Anyway, it seems you were not able to install SQL Server successfully. Or did it say that your last attempt succeeded successfully?
