As you know, Visual Studio Professional 2008 is an old version of VS, you can download it from here: Downloads officially. One thing to note is that a valid(paid level) subscription is needed.
After you sign in the above website, if you can see the Visual Studio Professional 2008 download link and it’s available, then it means that you have signed in with a valid(usually, it’s a paid level subscription) account, you can then download it directly. Otherwise, you have signed in with an "invalid" account and need to get a valid subscription.
You can contact Visual Studio Subscription Team to get a valid subscription and sign in above website by using this valid subscription to download and use Visual Studio Professional 2008.
