Hi All,

I am looking in detail for the features of Remote Help, but I cannot find any documentation anywhere with any information.

Specifically, it would be helpful for me to understand:

  • What kind of AES and TLS encryption does it use?
  • Are there limits on monthly or simultaneous connections?
  • Is support for fully managed Android (COBO) on the roadmap?
  • Is copy and paste between helper and client possible?
  • Is there a user guide for the interface?
  • How does administrator mode work?

Thanks !!

    Hello @Kyuzo88 ,

    Hope the below information helps.

    • What kind of AES and TLS encryption does it use? TLS1.2. Refer to: Using Remote Help on Windows to assist authenticated users. - Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn
    • Are there limits on monthly or simultaneous connections? There are no limits on monthly connections as such. For simultaneous sessions per user, it's in the feature request backlog but we do not have a timeline or roadmap yet.
    • Is support for fully managed Android (COBO) on the roadmap? This enrollment type is currently not supported. It's in the feature request backlog but we do not have a timeline or roadmap yet.
    • Is copy and paste between helper and client possible? It's in the feature request backlog but we do not have a timeline or roadmap yet.
    • Is there a user guide for the interface? There is an interactive demo that could help get an idea of the steps to configure end to end and the look and feel of remote assistance in real time:  https://regale.cloud/Microsoft/viewer/1746/remote-help/index.html#/0/0
    • How does administrator mode work? By administrator mode if you mean elevation control, a helper with the correct RBAC permissions (to elevate) can interact with the UAC prompt on the sharer's machine to enter credentials. For example, your Help Desk employees might enter their administrative credentials to complete an action on the sharer's device that requires administrative permissions. Refer to: Using Remote Help on Windows to assist authenticated users. - Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn

The interactive guide above also would help you with an idea of how it works.

    @Kyuzo88
Majorly, your data resides in your tenant location for Intune. You can find the tenant location on the Intune Portal under Tenant Administration - Tenant Status.

But for remote help, it might move out of the above geo for 48 hours as per the below article, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/m365-dr-workload-other?view=o365-worldwide#intune
