Azure Document Intelligence - Custom Generative model extract

Hi,

I have created a profile in Azure. I want to use Microsoft AI document intelligence and use custom generative model to train the data. I have followed the documents as in microsoft learn and using region North Central US but not able to find the option for custom generated model and getting only Nural and template. Can anyone please help on this ?

I am experiencing the same issue. A solution on how to access generative extraction would be much appreciated.

To use the custom generative model in Azure Document Intelligence, you need to ensure that you are following the correct steps and that your Azure environment is set up properly. Here are some steps to follow.

The custom generative model is currently available only in specific regions, including North Central US, East US.

Since you mentioned you are using this region, you should be able to access the feature. Make sure you are navigating through the Azure AI Foundry portal.

The custom generative model is specifically available through this portal. If you are not accessing it from there, you might not see the option.

You need to create a project specifically for document field extraction. Follow the steps in the Azure AI Foundry to create a project under the Document field extraction tile.

Ensure that your subscription is initialized and that you have created a hub in the Azure AI Foundry.

This is a prerequisite for creating projects and accessing the custom generative model. References: Build and train a custom generative model with AI Foundry. Yes, I am going through the AI Foundry. Yet the issue of not being able to select the generative extraction for document intelligence remains.

AI Foundry -> my-project -> AI Services -> Vision + Document: the only options available to me are the "Prebuilt models for specific documents", "General document analysis models", and "Build document field extraction models from your own data".

"Build document field extraction models from your own data": only contains "Document field extraction - neural and template" or " Document classification model".

Hi @kothapally Snigdha Thank you. Indeed it works. This is currently in Preview state. I am new to Azure. Can you please confirm if i can utilise it for productive purpose as its status is preview. Does this have ability to scan barcode/QR code ? I tried with QR code but didnot retrive me the result.Thanks

That selection for "Document field extraction preview" is not present for me.

The preview features are provided without a service-level agreement and are not recommended for production workloads. Certain features might not be supported or might have constrained capabilities.

Microsoft has not yet announced a release date for the ETA of the Document Intelligence 2024-07-31-preview.
