Blank white screen after login to Teams on any browser on Ubuntu

After logging in to Teams I get a blank white page inside the window (with rounded corners so it's rendering some of what it should). I have tried restarting, logging out and in again, using a different microsoft account, clearing caches and other data, CTRL+R, accessing it via Chrome, Chromium, and Firefox, and teams-for-linux app. All have same outcome. (Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS, 64bit)

As per various suggestions around the web, I have also tried resizing the window, disabling hardware acceleration, adding all kinds of varieties of urls to the "allow 3rd party cookies" list. nothing works.

I get all the usual login screens, but once logged in blank white screen.

However, it DOES work if I login via the mobile app on my phone (so I'm guessing it's not the account).

Ideas?
