Hi everyone,

I am trying to apply a custom lock screen image to company devices using Microsoft Intune, but I keep encountering an issue. Here is what I have done so far:

  1. I went to Intune > Devices > Configuration profiles > Create profile.
  2. I selected Windows 10 and later as the platform, then chose Device restrictions as the profile type.
  3. Under the Configuration settings, I went to Lock screen experience and uploaded an image hosted in a publicly accessible location.

However, after assigning the profile to a group of devices, I receive the error "Not Applicable" in the device configuration status.

I've ensured the following:

  • The image is hosted in a public location and is accessible via URL.
  • The devices are all running Windows 10/11 Enterprise, fully updated, and enrolled in Intune.

I’ve attached screenshots of the configuration and the error for clarity.

Does anyone know why the policy isn’t applying or have suggestions for resolving this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

@Lybon, Thanks for posting in Q&A. From your description, it seems you have configured "Locked screen picture URL (desktop only):", but it shows not applicable. For the URL to a picture, please confirm if it is in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. Meanwhile, please confirm the device is with Windows 10, version 1709 [10.0.16299] and later and the URL is http or https.

In addition, please confirm the URL can be accessible without authentication.
