Folks,
Try to create the account via mobile browser as I was able to successfully create my account. Via desktop the issue still persists.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I can't create an Azure free account. It says it cannot validate my phone number. When I try to add the number directly to my email account, it says the country code is unsupported. What should I do?
Folks,

Hello Giga Goriashvili, Microsoft's policies for phone number support in account registration and security verification may vary by country or region. Some countries may have limited or restricted support for adding phone numbers to Microsoft accounts due to regional regulations, telecommunications agreements, or other factors. As an extension to the above, Microsoft does not automatically support telephony verification (including SMS) for certain region codes. See reference - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/authentication/concept-mfa-regional-opt-in. If that doesn't solve, then, you need to contact Microsoft support via one of the contacts mentioned here (you can pick location based contact) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

Hi Giga Goriashvili,
Thank you for contacting us from the Microsoft Q&A forum.
To resolve issues related to phone validation during the Azure account creation process, we recommend the following steps:
1.Check Phone Number Requirements: Ensure that the phone number you are using for verification meets the necessary requirements. Note that Voice-over-IP (VoIP) numbers cannot be used for this process. Make sure your phone can receive calls or SMS messages from a United States-based number, and double-check the phone number you entered, including the correct country code.
2.Troubleshooting Resources: For detailed troubleshooting steps, please refer to this guide: Troubleshoot Azure Sign-Up.
3.Contact Customer Support: If you continue to experience issues, we recommend contacting Microsoft Support directly. You can find the customer service phone numbers specific to your country here: Global Customer Service Phone Numbers. When you speak with a representative, inform them that you are unable to validate your phone number, and they will create a support ticket and escalate your case to the Azure Subscription/Account Review team.
4.Creating a Support Ticket: Alternatively, you can create a support ticket through the Azure portal by following these instructions: Create Azure Support Request. If you have access to a different tenant, you can also create a support ticket from there.

Hi,
You should try creating the account without any ad blockers enabled in your browser.
Also, try creating the account with private browsing mode activated.
It worked for me!
Enjoy your experience with M365.
HI,
I have resolved this issue by Using Chrome in my mobile and the text me option works just fine.
