How to Build a Simple Calculator Extension with VS Code?

I want to create a simple VS Code extension that works as a salary calculator on nettotasca The idea is to allow users to enter their gross salary, apply tax deductions, and get the net salary directly. Is it possible with VS Code.

As Visual Studio Code(VS Code) and Visual Studio(VS) are two different products, currently, Visual Studio Code is not supported in the Microsoft Q&A forums. You can post this question on Github -vscode for better help.
