Hi,

Within the reservations in Azure, when you select create a new reserve Azure suggests for the product you want to create the reserve a "recommended quantity", does this quantity includes those reservations already done?.

In my case, I had reserved 10 app services for 1 year, and azure was suggesting me reserve 10 app services more, I have created a new reserve for 4 app services more, and Azure is still suggesting me reserve 10 app services, even when i have reserved 4 already, I understood the new suggested quantity would be 6 instead of 10.

    Hi Daniel Zurdo

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

When you create a new reservation in Azure, the "recommended quantity" takes into account any existing reservations you’ve made. Once you commit to a new reservation, the recommended amount is reduced because the reserved resources are no longer available for new reservations.

Azure calculates the best reservation recommendation by looking at your usage over the past 7, 30, and 60 days. It compares what your costs would have been with a reservation versus your actual pay-as-you-go costs, and then recommends the quantity that gives you the most savings.
