To set dashboard metric thresholds, you can utilize dynamic thresholds which automatically calculate the most appropriate thresholds based on historical data. This feature is particularly useful as it learns the behaviour of metrics over time and can recognize patterns, making it easier to configure alerts without needing to know the exact thresholds.
You can configure alert rules with dynamic thresholds on metrics such as virtual machine CPU percentage or Application Insights HTTP request execution time. This allows you to create scalable alerts for multiple metric series with a single alert rule.
