Setting a custom WSUS without modifying the client config

Hello,

We are trying to create a PowerShell script which will be executed on a given client machine which needs to search/install updates from a custom WSUS server without modifying the client configuration.

Our problem comes from the fact that we should not modify the configuration on the client at all.

Does anyone tried this approach before? and if yes maybe some hints on how can we can build this script(modules, maybe an example)

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Petre-Leonard Poiana,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Support Community.

I'm here to help with your problems.

To install the software, you should install the PSWindowsUpdate tool in advance. So, it is difficult to meet the requirements without changing the client's configuration.

If it is okay to install only PSWindowsUpdate on your client, the following site may be helpful in creating a script.

    Best regards,
