Hi Randy Calcines
Windows Server 2022 licenses can be downgraded to Windows Server 2019, but there are a few steps and conditions that need to be followed. Specifically, you'll need to:
- Make sure you have an OEM license for Windows Server 2022 and not a volume or retail license. You can run the command "slmgr /dlv"(no quotes) in Prompt Command to view the license channel.
- Purchase the N-2 downgrade package for Windows Server 2022, which contains the installation media and product key for Windows Server 2019.
- When you install Windows Server 2019, use the product key from the downgrade package instead of the product key for Windows Server 2022.
- Keep the COA label for Windows Server 2022 and proof of the downgrade package to prove that you have a legitimate license.
Also, you can contact the Support Center Contact Info. | Microsoft Learn (VLSC) or your Microsoft reseller. They will be able to provide you with the necessary media and keys to install and activate Windows Server 2019.
Please note that downgrading your licenses may have certain limitations and restrictions, so it's important to review the terms and conditions of your licensing agreement before proceeding.
Hope it helps.
Kind regards,
Lei
