I browsed to http://serverName/Reports_Home/browse/ and it shows "This folder is empty" although in the in the F:\SMS_SRSRP\Reports folder it has a bunch of reports. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

    Hi @CharlieLor
    First you have to make sure that you have uploaded or deployed the report to the report manager. Secondly, you need to make sure that you have sufficient permissions to view reports or folders (only "I" or the administrator has permission to view the "My Reports" folder).
    By default, the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is enabled on the server. This causes the ReportManager site to be entirely blank. If I look at the Page Source in IE Developer Console, all HTML is shown.

    Went to Server Manager -> Local Server -> IE Enhanced Security Configuration and turned it off. Report Pages are now displayed as expected.

    If none of the above conditions exist, you may want to look at the SSRS service logs to see if you have any errors. The files are located at:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services\SSRS\LogFiles
    Most of the time errors are located in those files. And what to do depends on what the error is.

    If you could provide more information, it will help solve your issue. You may describe in detail your browser, configuration role information, and some recent operations, whether you could successfully view all reports before. Please provide more detailed information as much as possible, and I will look forward to your feedback.

    Best Regards,
    Joy

    Is re-installing SCCM Reporting Service Point and regenerate all the reports on the sql server part of the "uploaded or deployed"? Second, the account that I used to log into the SQL Server that runs the Reporting Services is part of the Local Administrators group. The account I used to log into the SQL Server Reporting Services web page is also part of the Local Administrators group. Third, IE Enhanced Security Configuration is already turned off.

    There is not much in the LogFiles folder RSPortal.log file. Here's an example.

    In the RSManagement file, I saw the below lines. I'm not sure if it's related.

    2021-01-06 09:16:33.8870|ERROR|8|Unhandled error in the Web API. Exception: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: Error while copying content to a stream. ---> System.IO.IOException ---> System.Net.HttpListenerException: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request
       at System.Net.HttpResponseStream.EndWrite(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
       at Microsoft.Owin.Host.HttpListener.RequestProcessing.ExceptionFilterStream.EndWrite(IAsyncResult asyncResult)

    In the ReportingServicesService log file, I noticed this line.

    library!DefaultDomain!1860!01/06/2021-09:00:38:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: Invalid PBI Configuration, Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. ;

    Yes, I was able to see all the folders and pages. If I reimport the ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB database and point the reporting server manager to these two database, I am able to see all the folders and pages. However, since this is a migration to a new database we do not want to keep anything in the old ReportServer...we rather just regenerate all of them new.

    My next question is, in the Report Configuration Manager/Web Portal URL, the Virtual Directory shows SMC_Reports but where exactly which physical folder is this virtual directory points to on the local server? How do I verify where it points to?

    I assumed in SQL Server 2019, ReportManager folder is now replaced by Portal folder, correct? At this point, I think I need a way to add the F:\SMS_SRSRP\Reports folder that contains all the reports to the SQL Server Reporting Services.

    Hi @CharlieLor ,

    library!DefaultDomain!1860!01/06/2021-09:00:38:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: Invalid PBI Configuration, Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. ;

    Try the following :

    1. Open SQL Server Reporting Services Configuration Manager
    2. Click on Web Service URL menu and make sure that the URL's match the ones located in Web Portal URL menu.
    3. If they're different, open the rsreportserver.config file (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services\SSRS\ReportServer) and remove any entries not listed in Web Service URL.
    4. Open your web portal ie. http://localhost/Reports and see if it's resolved. If so, all done.
    5. If not, click the Encryption Keys menu, in the "Delete Encrypted Content" section, click "Delete".
    6. Open your web portal again and see if it's resolved.
    7. Locate and update your datasource credentials.

    Best Regards,
    Joy

    The problem is not because http://localhost/Reports is not resolved. The issue is that http://localhost/Reports shows empty. Do I need to enable TLS1.2? Currently it's showing Disable TLS1.2 : Not Set
