ODBC Cannot connect to my sql server

Trying to set up an odbc data source for my sql database however odbc is failing to connect to my database every time i run a test.

**Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server Version 17.10.0003

Running connectivity tests...

Attempting connection

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'sa'.

TESTS FAILED!**

i have triple checked that i am using the correct username and password etc.
