Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am trying to disable NLA and I have it disabled from:

local group policie/administrative template/Windows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Session Host/Security

But when I go to Control Panel/System and Security/System/Remote settings/System Properties/Remote/Remote Desktop

I can't uncheck the Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with NLA because it is blocked.

Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,

    Hi Daisy

I have followed the steps indicated in the guide.

The Remote Computer Requires Network Level Authentication (NLA) – TheITBros

Method 1. Disable NLA via the system properties

I can't do it because it is block.

Method 2. Disable NLA via group policy

    This policy is disabled.

Method 3. Disable Network Level Authentication via PowerShell

I check that the NLA status is enabled.

I execute the command to deactivate it.

I run the command again to see if it is disabled and it is still enabled.

    Hello Albertosd77,

    Good day!

Have you check the registry values mentioned in the link above?

If it does not work either, I suggest you can disjoin/remove the machine from domain to workgroup and check if it helps.

Do you have RDS server in your domain?

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou

    Hello Albertosd77,

    Good day!

How many DCs are there in your domain?

Is the same setting on all DCs grey out? If so, you can try to check the setting is enabled or disabled within Default Domain Controller Policy.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou

    Hi Daisy

    Good day.

The registry value mentioned in the manual is 0 disable.

    Image

I can not remove this server from the domain because it is the domain controller and i have not RDS server.

    Image

When I launch this command I have no output so it has no RDS server.

I don't think it's a privilege problem because I'm an administrator. The key is why it lets you disable it and not me?

Regards and thank you very much for your help.

    Alberto
