I am wondering where the new basic outlook store app settings file is stored locally in file system in windows 11 ? Some-one could do with writing a post regarding the new outlook app new files and folders locations as very little info online - spent hours wasted to find nolonger .pst or .ost files. Or outlook folder now named 'OLK' Even AI chat box gets totally confused and sent me on wild goose chases to false settings file locations in %localappdata% roaming folders and registry settings that no longer exist. Different answer each time !!

The original email is stored on the email service side.
In the case of IMAP or POP connections, it is also stored as a cache on Microsoft's cloud server.
The new Outlook does not yet support PST files, so emails cannot be stored locally.
Support for PST files will be coming soon.

    Hi @patrick saunders ,

The new Outlook does not use traditional PST/OST files. It relies on cloud synchronization (Microsoft 365/Exchange), so emails and calendar data are not stored locally in the same way.
