Entra Cloud Sync from Entra to AD frequency and is it forceable?

Question

Does the two minute frequency for Entra Cloud Sync apply to changes from Entra to AD (group writeback) and can this sync be forced for both ways (Entra to AD and AD to Entra)?

Again, this is specifically for Entra Cloud Sync and not Entra Cloud Connect.

Thanks for your question

No you cannot manually trigger or force synchronization cycles on demand. The synchronization process operates based on schedules managed by the service and syncs ~5 mins

You can provision on demand on the Connect cloud sync side however using: http://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/hybrid/on-demand-provision

The provisioning job for group writeback however runs every 20 minutes. This is documented here:
