Can we edit the rejected request in Microsoft Approvals instead initiating a new request for the approvals?

We have started using Microsoft Teams Approval for our organization and checking if we can have the following options in the Approvals.

  1. Can we edit the submitted request for approval? Also, if rejected by the Approver, can we edit the same request again and resubmit?
  2. Can we have an auto-generated serial/reference number for the requests submitted?

    Hi @Peyton

According to your case description, you are seeking answers to questions regarding Microsoft Teams approvals:

    • Editing Submitted or Rejected Requests: Currently, you cannot edit an approval request that is already in progress or has been rejected. You would need to cancel the existing request and submit a new one with the necessary changes.
    • Auto-Generated Serial/Reference Numbers: The Approvals app in Microsoft Teams does not natively support auto-generated serial or reference numbers. However, you can use Power Automate to create a flow that generates a unique reference number for each request.

For more information about Power Automate, see: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/create-flow.
