A migration of a core AI video generation service to Azure is currently blocked due to insufficient GPU quota under the Microsoft for Startups Benefit subscription. The requirement is for GPU compute resources with performance equivalent to or greater than NVIDIA V100s, and there is flexibility on region and specific VM series.

Securing the necessary GPU quota will enable the migration of the service, which is critical for the startup’s operations in the AI video inference space. Currently, there are challenges in acquiring the GPU quota, as requests are being denied across various regions, suggesting that this subscription cannot be used for GPU quota.

What steps can be taken to obtain the required GPU quota for the migration?

    Hi Siddhant Singh,

It seems that you are encountering challenges in migrating your AI video generation service to Azure due to GPU quota limitations under the Microsoft for Startups Benefit subscription.

If you have Founders Hub credits, you may be able to use them to access a Startup GPU Cluster for distributed training and fine-tuning, which could serve as a temporary solution while you work on securing a permanent GPU quota.

To request a quota, increase, please navigate to the Azure Portal and go to Help + Support to create a new support request. Select Quota Increase → Compute-VM (cores/vCPUs) per region and be sure to specify your subscription type and the need for GPU compute resources.

If you encounter any quota-related issues under the Microsoft for Startups Benefit subscription, we recommend reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance Submit Support Request.
