Azure calculator changes the savings option automatically and dynamically

Hi Team,

We are login in from SSO company ID's(IBM) and work on Azure calculator.

Every time we work on Azure Calculator, we add instances and select 3 years reserved instances but it automatically and dynamically changes back to pay as you go .

This leads to adding and duplicating work every time and affects business as the cost changes. Please help

When using the Azure Pricing Calculator, the savings options like Pay-as-you-go, 1-year Reserved, or 3-year Reserved can sometimes reset automatically. This usually happens when switching between different browser sessions or tabs or when adding new resources or instances after selecting your savings plan and sometimes If the session times out or you are not saving the calculator estimate properly. This behavior is not specific to SSO (like IBM's SSO), but more related to how the Azure Calculator maintains state across actions.

Make sure to regularly save your pricing estimate especially after configuring it with your preferred options and any savings applied by using the "Export" or "Save" feature at the top. This way, all your settings are preserved, and you can easily revisit your estimate later without having to start over.

When you add a new resource or instance, the savings option may need to be set individually. Make sure to adjust it manually under each resource block, as it may default to Pay-as-you-go.

Hi Srinivasa,

Apparently i am not happy with the major bug that Azure pricing calculator has and its not been fixed.

We work on many deals and if by mistake we don't revisit and change the options it will be major issue with costs . This will affect business .

I am looking ahead for solution . Hoping this will be fixed too.
