When I install Visual Studio, I get an error.
I tried all the options to fix this but nothing helped. When I try to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components\90C68BBCA565FC341902D954EA3347AC then regedit freezes.

    Hi @Skeleton3595 ,

Are you using multiple accounts on your machine(admin, users, other users…)? If so, please try to sign in your machine with the admin account, and run VS setup file as administrator, see if this works.

You may need to fix the system environment by updating Windows OS, checking and fixing the corrupted/missing system files(follow the steps here to use the SFC tool), using antivirus software to scan the system.

You may also need to use more powerful Windows tools to check and fix the issue. Please try to contact the Windows Team about this issue(regedit freezes) as well.

    Best regards,

    Tianyu
