SMTP Basic Auth Deprecation

Hello,

I would like to ask about the upcoming deprecation of the smtp Basic Authentication mechanism in September 2025. Will this change only apply to subdomains under office365.com, or will it also affect other Microsoft domains such as azure.com, azurecomm.com, and outlook.com?

If the change is limited to office365.com, are there any plans to apply similar deprecations to the other domains in the near future?

The upcoming deprecation of SMTP Basic Authentication in September 2025 will apply to all tenants using Exchange Online, which includes those under the office365.com domain. However, the context does not specify whether this change will be limited only to office365.com or if it will also affect other Microsoft domains such as azure.com, azurecomm.com, and outlook.com. There are no mentioned plans to apply similar deprecations to other domains in the near future.
