Will I be affected by Azure AD B2C end of sale if I have existing tenants and want to create users?

Hi, I’ve seen the announcement that Azure AD B2C will no longer be available for purchase for new customers after May 1, 2025. I currently manage several existing Azure AD B2C tenants and plan to continue creating users in them.

  • Will I be affected by this change if I am using existing B2C tenants?
  • Will I still be able to create new users and manage user flows as usual?
  • How can I confirm if my tenants are considered existing and eligible for continued use?
  • Will there be a way to migrate users to existing B2C tenants after the end-of-sale date?

Any guidance on ensuring continuity or planning migration to Microsoft Entra External ID would also be appreciated.

Thank you!

    Hello @Enes ,

No, you will not be affected by the Azure AD B2C end of sale if you have existing tenants. Current Azure AD B2C customers can continue using the product, including creating new users and managing user flows as usual. The product experience will remain unchanged, and operational commitments, such as service level agreements (SLAs), security updates, and compliance, will also remain in effect until at least May 2030.

To confirm if your tenants are considered existing and eligible for continued use, you can check if you have an active Azure AD B2C tenant that was created before the end of sale date.

    NOTE:

Existing Customers: If you created an Azure AD B2C tenant before May 1, 2025, you can continue to operate as normal, create new tenants, and manage existing ones without interruptions.

Billing: Billing for Azure AD B2C services will continue as usual.

Future Plans: No plans to retire Azure AD B2C before 2030. Migration to External ID is not required.

Hope this information helps. Let us know if you have any additional queries. Happy to assist you further.
