Requesting Owner access for Azure for Startups subscription

I’m participating in Azure for Startups and was granted a subscription as part of the program. However, I do not have Owner or Contributor role permissions, and I cannot see or manage role assignments under IAM. I need to register the Microsoft.AzureActiveDirectory resource provider, which requires the register/action permission only available to subscription Owners.

Please elevate my access by assigning me the Owner role on the subscription so I can fully administer it. I am the primary account holder and founder associated with the startup program.

    To request ownership access for an Azure subscription

    1. Only users who already have the Owner role at the subscription level are authorized to assign the Owner role to others within that subscription.
    2. If the user is a Global Administrator in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), they have the ability to elevate their own access to gain the necessary permissions. This is a self-service action and cannot be performed on their behalf.

    In your case, assigning yourself the Owner role for the Azure subscription provided through the Azure for Startups program requires going through the entitlement transfer process. This step is necessary to properly elevate your access to the subscription.
