Blank Screen when trying to Create an Agent

I successfully created one Agent. Then upon trying to create another, I am only receiving a blank screen. I have tried multiple resolutions (deleting cache/cookies, different browser, logging out, flushing dns) to no avail. I do not understand why this is not working when nothing else changed, as I made both attempts to create the agents in the same day, so there were no changes to settings on my end.

    Hi Kim Giesing, Dave Michaels

Thank you for your continued patience and for outlining the steps you've already tried.

From what you’ve described — and based on similar reports — the blank screen during agent creation in Copilot Studio seems to be caused by inconsistencies in how the UI loads. This usually occurs when session data is corrupted or if the environment context is not fully ready. The issue is known and being monitored internally.

Here are some actions that have helped others resolve this same problem:

Use “Skip to Configure” Instead of Guided Setup
When you're on the agent creation screen, choose the “Skip to configure” option. This bypasses the AI-powered setup wizard, which is sometimes the root of the blank screen issue.

Ensure You're Using an ALM Solution
Always create your agent inside a valid Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution in Power Platform. Agents created outside a solution may not load properly due to missing environment dependencies.

Try Using a Clean Browser Session
Open Copilot Studio in an incognito/private browser window or use a new profile to avoid conflicts caused by cached data or stored sessions.

    Inspect the Browser Console
Press F12 to open Developer Tools, go to the Console tab, and check for any error messages or failed network calls. This can help identify what's failing during the page load.

    Switch to Another Network
Try connecting from a different internet source—like a mobile hotspot. Some enterprise networks or proxies might block services required for Copilot Studio to function properly.

    Wait for Environment Initialization
If you're working in a Personal Developer Environment, wait until you receive a confirmation (e.g., a Teams message or portal notification) that the environment is ready before you create a new agent.

    Hi Kim Giesing,

This issue is commonly linked to session persistence or rendering conflicts in the agent creation interface. Here are the recommended steps to resolve it:

Avoid Session Interruptions Ensure that the agent creation process is completed in a single session. Avoid refreshing the page, switching tabs, or letting the session time out during the process.

Use “Skip to Configure” Option On the agent creation screen, select the “Skip to configure” option instead of using the conversational setup. This allows you to manually define the agent and often bypasses the blank screen issue.

Check for Browser Conflicts Disable any browser extensions (especially ad blockers or script blockers) and ensure that embedded content is not being blocked by your browser or network settings.

Try Incognito Mode or a Clean Profile Sometimes, browser profiles retain corrupted session data. Try creating the agent in an incognito/private window or a fresh browser profile.

    1. Known Limitation with Declarative Agents If you’re using declarative agent flows (e.g., with adaptive cards or embedded browser components), be aware that there are known rendering issues. These are being tracked internally and workarounds are under development.
