    This error typically occurs when the "Background apps" permission is not enabled in the App Settings for Windows within the Azure VPN Client.

    Here’s how you can enable background app permissions for your VPN client on Windows 11:

    1. Open Settings – Press Win + I to launch the windows Settings app.
    2. Go to Apps – In the left-hand menu, click Apps.
    3. Click Installed apps – This will show all installed applications.
    4. Find your VPN client – Scroll down or use the search bar to locate the VPN app.
    5. Modify Background app permissions:
    6. Click the three-dot menu () next to your VPN app.
    7. Select Advanced options.
    8. Under Background apps permissions, change the setting to Always.
