Attempting to make my SharePoint site accessable for everyone in my org

I have created a communication sharepoint site that should be a point of entry for everyone in the organisation to see into a certain project and raise demand for the project, etc. It is all ready to go and too me a while to create but I can't figure out how to publish it to make it accessable for everyone in the organisation to access without having to request permission to do so and for the site owner to have to manually accept it.

I have already tried two methods I found online but neither worked, any other potential workaround would be hugely helpful.

  1. I have tried going to settings -> site information, but the privacy dropdown isn't available to change (after doing some research I believe this is because a communication sharepoint site cannot be public)
  2. I've also tried going to settings -> site permissions -> share site, and I was planning on adding 'everyone except external users' but this option isn't available. However this 'group' is available when I go into 'advanced permissions settings'

Any help and potential other options of ways to fix this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Hi @Luke Dalli, Vodafone (External)

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on the information you have provided, looks like you need to grant access for everyone in your organization.
Can you share with me your sharing site settings? User's image

Please double check in site permission > site access if the "Everyone except external users" shows up?

User's image If not, you can navigate to Advanced permissions settings > Grant permission and check if that option shows up there.

Please provide more information so I can assist you better.

    Thanks for your understanding.

Luke, is this still a needed request? The proper method, in my opinion, is to create an Azure AD/ Entra dynamic membership group. I'd be happy to help provide instruction if still needed.

All sorted now, thanks @Jayden-P and yes, @Larsen Ullrich , this was the required fix.

Fix was that you have to create a Azure dynamic membership group (my organisation already had one so it was just getting the correct naming conventions for these).

    Thanks for your help.
