I saw this same question posted by others but all of the responses are in something other than English. How am I supposed to know how to fix the issue if the comments are in a language that I don't understand?

I have had my Hotmail account for over 25 years and today it won't let me sign in. I changed my password but the error keeps coming up to try another device (which it works fine on my cell phone), vpn (don't know what that is) or use something else.

I need to be able to log on to my hotmail account on my laptop. Please tell me in English what I am to do to fix the problem.

Thanks in advance

    Hi @Ninee aka Dianna

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you're having trouble signing into your Hotmail account. I also realize it's confusing when the information you need isn't in English. Don't worry, I'll help you in English. Based on your description, I have a few suggestions for you:

Please try using a different web browser (for example, if you're using Chrome, try Microsoft Edge).

Also, clear your browser's cache and cookies_._ For Microsoft Edge, you can go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Check Cookies and other site data > Clear now. Then, close and reopen the browser before attempting to sign into Hotmail again.

Note: Two of the above may vary slightly depending on the browser you're using.

If the methods above still don't allow you to sign in, please visit this link to recover and reset your password
