Hi @Travis Ellwanger
Thanks for reaching out. That's a great question about using the Scheduling Assistant when updating an existing meeting in Outlook 365.
I understand you're looking for this option when you open a meeting you've already created. The good news is you absolutely can use the Scheduling Assistant for existing meetings. It's not a bug, but sometimes the option can be a little hidden.
Here’s how to access it in both the Outlook desktop app and web version:
- Open the meeting:
- Desktop App: Double-click the meeting in your calendar to open it in edit mod. Make sure you open the meeting as the Organizer.
- Web version: Double-click the meeting to open it in your browser.
- Find the Scheduling Assistant:
- Desktop App: Look in the ribbon at the top, under the Meeting tab, you'll see a button labeled Scheduling Assistant. It's usually located within the Show or Attendees group.
- Web version: Look for the Scheduling Assistant tab or option near the date/time fields.
- Adjust the time and send update:
- Click Scheduling Assistant and you'll see everyone's free/busy times. Adjust the meeting time as needed.
- Once adjusted, click Done or return to the meeting editing screen and then, click Send or Send Update to notify attendees.
Important notes: Only the meeting organizer can modify and send updates to a meeting. Please ensure the Outlook desktop application is updated to the latest version to have full access to all features.
I hope these detailed steps help you easily manage and update your meetings. Please let me know if anything is unclear.
