Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand that the issue regarding the 15-18 second audio delay at the start of your Microsoft Teams calls. I understand this is very inconvenient, and we can work together to investigate the cause.

    • I'm wondering if you and your colleagues experience a similar issue when using the web version of Teams? Please try the following steps to test on Teams online: Open a web browser > Go to the Sign In | Microsoft Teams >Sign in with your account > Place a call to another colleague (who is also using the web version, if possible) and check if the audio delay at the beginning of the call still occurs.
    • Clear the Teams Cache: Quit Teams completely > Enter Windows Key + R. > Type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and press Enter > Delete all files and folders in this directory > Restart Teams
    • Check for Teams Updates: Please confirm that you are running the latest Teams version
    • Enable Audio Enhancements in Settings: Click Start and click Settings > Sound > Scroll down to the Advanced > select More sound settings > Select the Recording tab, select the Microphone Array and then click Properties > Select the Advanced Tab > Un-Check the Enable audio enhancements box > Click OK.undefined

Back in the main Settings > Apps > Installed apps on the right > Microsoft Teams > click the 3 dots > Advanced options > Click the options in the exact order below.

    • Terminate
    • Reset (Reset in the dialogue box)
    • Repair

Now just restart the laptop undefined

    • Enable Audio Enhancements in Control panel: Control Panel > Search Sound Option > Select your laptop's internal speaker and select properties > Advanced Tab > Disable Audio Enhancement  undefined
    • Check Audio Device Selection: Before making or receiving a call, ensure the correct audio device (headset, microphone) is selected in Settings > Devices. Sometimes, switching devices during a call can cause delays.

Please give those troubleshooting steps a try, and if the problem remains, don't hesitate to let me know by replying to this thread. I'll be happy to look into other solutions for you
