    Hey Patrick,

Without further information it's difficult to say. However, if the email came from microsoft-noreply@microsoft.com, that is a legitimate Microsoft address often used for automated notifications.

However, the part about needing to "purchade by July 10, 2025 to keep your account active" doesn't sound typical unless you're using a specific Microsoft service like Microsoft 365, Azure, or another subscription-based product that’s nearing expiration.

If you're sure you've not signed up for anything I'd err on the side of caution and ignore/delete the email personally.

    Thanks,

    Shaun

    Hello patrick Hoorn,

    Thanks for your question

    Yes the email looks fine.

I would recommend you sign in to your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com/) directly, not via email links, and look for any real notifications.

However, This email is commonly associated with business accounts, eg Microsoft365 commercial licenses, Azure etc. These accounts authenticated via EntraID.

See similar here and verify if it is the same kind of email. If this is the case you do not need any action:

Hi patrick Hoorn, Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

It's important to be cautious with emails requesting personal information or actions. The email address "microsoft-noreply@microsoft.com" is generally legitimate, but scammers can sometimes spoof email addresses to make them appear authentic.

To determine if the email is genuine, consider the following steps:

    1. Check the sender's email address: Ensure it matches exactly "microsoft-noreply@microsoft.com".
    2. Look for grammatical errors or unusual language: Phishing emails often contain mistakes.

If the email asks you to purchase something to keep your account active, it might be suspicious. Microsoft typically does not require purchases to maintain account activity.

Additionally, please check if the email mentions whether it is related to a business or personal account, and if there are any other details provided. Having additional related information will help us better identify and support you.

Stay safe and vigilant! I hope the above information helps you. If you have any further updates, please feel free to ask!
