If you are incurring charges despite having $20,000 in Azure credits under a Microsoft Azure Sponsorship, there are a few steps you can take to investigate the issue:
First, confirm whether your Azure credits have expired. Credits under the sponsorship typically expire one year after activation, unless extended by upgrading to a higher program level.
Next, verify whether the charges are for services or resources that may have exceeded your allocated $20,000 credit limit. The Azure Sponsorship Portal provides detailed usage data per workload, which can help you analyze your consumption.
Additionally, ensure that the services you are using are eligible under the Azure sponsorship credits. Some services may not be covered, and usage of these may result in charges.
If none of the above scenarios apply, it is advisable to submit a support request through the Azure Portal under the billing or subscription category for further assistance. If the issue persists, we recommend reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance Submit Support Request.
