Network interface provisioning state is failed

Hello Team,

I am adding the Virtual Machine in Backend pool of application gateway and getting this error.

"Network interface provisioning state is failed"

Virtual Machine is running perfectly.

I tried to add a different Virtual Machine, and it is added. Can you please guide.

This issue usually indicates a problem with the VM's NIC rather than the VM itself.

Could you please run the following commands to change the NIC status to the succeeded state

Get-AzNetworkInterface -Name "your_resource_name" -ResourceGroupName "your_resource_group_name" | Set-AzNetworkInterface

After running the command, try to add the VM again and let me know the results.

If not, please verify the steps below once again.

Check Resource State: First, confirm the provisioning state of the network interface directly associated with the Virtual Machine that's failing. Sometimes, even if the VM is running, associated resources might be in a failed state.

Resource Dependencies: Make sure there are no dependencies tied to the network interface that might be causing the failure. For instance, if a network interface relies on a specific Virtual Network or Subnet, ensure those resources are correctly configured.

Review the Activity Log: Navigate to the Azure Portal and check the Activity Log for the resource group where the VM is located. This log can provide more details about why the provisioning failed.
