Dear @Richard McPherson
Thank you for reaching out Q&A forum!
We understand that you require guidance on how to connect your Windows PC to an HP printer and print documents.
Based on our research, for Cloud PC Microsoft 365, there are two options:
- Universal Print:
Universal Print is designed for customers transitioning to the cloud. If you are global administrator, you can manage print environment from Azure Portal. If you need to print directly to a printer that is not Universal Print-ready, you will need to install the Universal Print Connector. Currently, Universal Print is available for Microsoft Business and Education customers.
However, for this service, Microsoft is still updating compatibility for HP printer types.

- Remote Desktop Protocol:
When printer redirection is enabled in a Remote Desktop session, all printers available on the local device is automatically redirected—you cannot select specific printers to redirect.
This redirection uses a high-level method that does not require printer drivers to be installed on the Cloud PC. Instead, the redirected printers use the built-in Remote Desktop Easy Print driver.
However, it is important to ensure that the printer driver is correctly installed on the local device, as the redirection relies on the local configuration to function properly.
Based on our research, for Windows 365, you can configure your Cloud PCs using Microsoft Intune or Group Policy as global administrator. If you would like to configure on Intune, please raise ticket to Intune Help and Support for better assistant. -Microsoft Intune admin center.
