Why won't Microsoft let me log into my account - saying my gmail is not a 'work or office' account?

I have set up my gmail as a sole trader 'work' account because I often use Microsoft Teams with this account to complete consultations. Now when I try and log into this gmail account to view my profile and account details (i.e. to renew) it won't let me. I keep getting the message that I'm not using a 'work or office' account. I have never had this problem before?

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.  

Correct me if I'm wrong, you have set up your Gmail as a 'work' account but now when I try and log into that Gmail account to view profile and account details it doesn't let you to log in with message that you not using a 'work or office' account. 

I wanted to ask how you managed to set up your Gmail account as a Microsoft work account. Are you still able to sign in to Teams with it? 

Also, if you're seeing an error like "You're not using a work or school account", it could be because you're trying to access Microsoft 365 services as a business user. Have you ever registered a Microsoft 365 business subscription (such as Basic or Standard) or created a tenant for your organization yet. In addition, you can try logging in at https://login.live.com to see if the account is still usable. However, if you log in successfully, it means that Microsoft considers this account to be a personal account.
