LinkedIn Workplace Verification Not Working with Microsoft Entra Verified ID Setup?

Hello Microsoft Community,

We’ve set up our organization “Code with Bismillah” under Microsoft Entra ID and successfully issued Verified Employee credentials using Microsoft Entra Verified ID. Our domain codewithbismillah.online is verified, and we’ve published the credential to the Verified ID network.

We can also view the credential card in the Entra wallet.

However, when trying to verify our workplace on LinkedIn, we get the following message:

“This email address domain isn’t enabled by your organization for verifications on LinkedIn.”

What we’ve done so far:

Enabled “Allow users to connect their work or school account with LinkedIn” in the Azure Entra settings.

Set info@codewithbismillah.online as the primary email on the LinkedIn profile.

Verified the domain in Microsoft 365 via DNS TXT record.

Created and published the credential using the VerifiedEmployee template.

Enabled the “Publish to Verified ID Network” option.

Assigned the credential to the user from our tenant.

Despite all of this, LinkedIn still does not recognize the domain for workplace verification.

Are there any additional configurations we’re missing on the Microsoft Entra Verified ID side to enable LinkedIn verification?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated. We want to ensure our team members can verify their workplace on LinkedIn using our custom domain.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Code with Bismillah

Thanks for using the Q&A platform.

Microsoft’s detailed documentation outlines that enabling workplace verification on LinkedIn with Entra Verified ID requires both Entra setup and a backend submission to Microsoft.

You will need to send your Verified ID setup details along with your organization DID, your LinkedIn profile, and LinkedIn company page to Microsoft will review your submission and follow up with the next steps if accepted.

    Hello @Code with Bismillah

Thank you for contacting Q&A Forum. For your question, please check if:

    • The Verified ID issuer domain exactly matches the verified domain used in LinkedIn
    • The Verified ID credential metadata includes the correct type and issuer values expected by LinkedIn.
    • If LinkedIn has officially onboarded your domain for workplace verification or not. This may require contacting LinkedIn support.

If all configurations are correct and the issue persists, contact Microsoft support and LinkedIn support to validate domain onboarding and credential compatibility.
