Email Signature Freeze

I am using Outlook on Google Chrome and went into the settings to change my email signature. However, whenever I click on Email Signature in the settings, my outlook just freezes and then I get a "page unresponsive" notification. I've tried this multiple times for the past few days and it continues to not function. Any help?

    Dear @Chris Lee,

Thank you so much for contacting Microsoft Q&A Support.

I truly understand the inconvenience that you are facing when you click on Email Signature in Outlook (especially in the web version via Chrome), the page becomes unresponsive. During my research, I find a few suggestions that may help resolve the issue:

    1. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: sometimes corrupted cache can cause Outlook Web App to misbehave.

    • In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data.
    • Restart Chrome and try again.

    2. Try Incognito Mode or Another Browser: this helps determine if browser extensions or settings are interfering.

    • Open Chrome in Incognito Mode (Ctrl+Shift+N) and log into Outlook.
    • Alternatively, you can try other browsers such as Microsoft Edge, etc.
    1. Use Outlook Desktop App (if available): if the web version continues to crash, use the desktop version to edit the signature, please see the instruction here: Change an email signature - Microsoft Support

I hope this information can help you to solve it soon.

    Wish you a pleasant day!

This usually happens because of a browser cache or extension issue, not Outlook itself.

Try clearing Chrome cache and cookies, or open Outlook in Incognito mode or another browser (Edge/Firefox). If it works there, a Chrome extension — especially ad blockers or privacy tools — is likely causing the freeze.

Also try signing out of Outlook, closing Chrome completely, then signing back in.

If you keep having trouble, try creating your signature outside Outlook (for example with MySignature) and paste it in later, since the web editor can be unstable sometimes.
