Camera Driver

Question

HI, 

since the Windows update last monday, there is any camera driver (intergreted camera) more on my Surface Book.  I search on the internet but didn't find how to reinstall it. 

Where can I find the driver ?

Hi Ophélie,

If the Surface camera driver doesn't show in the Device Manager, it is posible that the driver got corrupted. The driver can be installed by running Windows update or download the driver and firmware manually. Click on this link on how you can download the Surface drivers.

You may also run the hardware troubleshooter to resolve the issue with the Surface camera. To run the troubleshooter, follow these steps:

1. Type Troubleshooting in the search box, click Troubleshooting.
2. Under Hardware and Sound, choose Configure a device.
3. The Hardware Troubleshooter will open.
4. Click on Next to run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
5. Choose the one you want to fix and click on Next.

Please run the Surface Diagnostics Toolkit and let's see if the tool can detect any problem -  this tool will automatically check for possible software issues on your Surface and will try to repair them for you.

Thank you for the links to the drivers.  I tried both downloaded the Surface Book appropriate platform updated for September 2017 and October 2017.  

Neither one fixed the issue.  Do you have a follow on recommendation?
