I'm trying to set up a new Surface Laptop, 7th Edition, Snapdragon X elite with 16GB Go RAM, Gt RAM and 512GB Go Gt Model #2036 and am getting an error on the 'Setting up for work or school' page.
Device Preparation is completed but under 'Device setup' I am getting the following information.
Security policies (1 of 1 applied)
Certificates (No setup needed)
Network connections (No setup needed)
Apps (0x8024001e)
I am unable to get past this screen, as my only options are 'Reset device' and 'Try again'.
Other community questions regarding this error give directions as though I am able to access the run menu or start button. As this is the first time it's been turned on, I haven't gotten past the set up pages.
Any tips?
~Summer

I am the IT person for this particular project. I am setting it up for the company I work for.
I just need to know how to get past the setup screen so I can get into a command prompt.
Hello Summer Star,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I notice that you are doing "Set up for Work or School" when you try to set up this computer, but I need to kindly remind you that this option is not usually displayed on a device that is used by individual users.
You also mentioned security policies, certificates, etc. in the subsequent description, which in fact should not be displayed in the OOBE flow of personal devices. So I'm assuming that the Surface device you're using came from the organization, in other words maybe your company purchased it and gave it to you to use?
Therefore, if you are having trouble setting it up, I recommend that you contact your company's IT staff directly and ask them to assist you with the setup. But if you are the IT person, then obviously you need specialized technical support.
I'll guide you to connecting with Surface Support for Business:
